Noirmoutier Island
You’ll reach theisland of Noirmoutier either via the bridge or the Gois passage, depending on tide times: the Gois is a submersible road at low tide that links the island of Noirmoutier to the mainland in the commune of Beauvoir sur mer. The length of the Gois is 4.3 km: at high tide, the water level varies from 1.3 meters to 4 meters. The bridge linking theisland of Noirmoutier to the mainland was built in 1971. You’ll be able to choose the most appropriate way to reach the island, taking tide times into account. At low tide, in the Baie du Gois, you can gather clams, cockles and oysters….
L’Île D’Yeu
