Situated between Saint-Pierre and Château-d’Oléron, Dolus d’Oléron is a charming commune with a double seafront, a historic center and many typical hamlets.
To the northeast, the coastline is characterized byoyster farming: the Route des Huîtres takes you to the colorful huts of the Marennes producers. The small port of the Baudissière channel is a particularly picturesque site to discover. Its multicolored huts are home to art workshops.
On the south-western side, the Atlantic coast is ideal for water sports and board sports such as surfing and kitesurfing.
