At Le Fief Melin campsite on the Ile d’Oléron, classic city bikes with accessories are available for hire, so you can discover the many cycle paths on the Ile d’Oléron at your own pace, with its variety of authentic landscapes.
By booking your bike rental directly with us, you save precious time on your vacation. Payment for the rental is made at the end of your stay by cash, cheque or vacation voucher, allowing you to anticipate this expense. A deposit is required (depending on the number and type of bikes), payable by card, cheque or cash at the time of rental. There is no minimum rental period, ranging from half a day to a week or even longer, with rates decreasing according to duration.
If you’d like to hire an electric bike, we can arrange it at the nearest store, and for all equipment (helmets, baskets, etc.) we have a stock reserved for customers at affordable rates.

Cycle paths on the Ile d’Oléron
From the Made in Camp le Fief Melin campsite, you can take the oyster route to the pretty citadel of Château-d’Oléron, which is very lively in summer. Continue on to the port and enjoy the colorful huts, home to local artisans and fine restaurants typical of the island.
For a trip to the beach, don’t hesitate to take your bike. You’ll be at Vert-Bois beach in less than 10 minutes, with no parking constraints for your daily strolls.

Our favorite: starting from Le Fief Melin campsite, take the cycle path from Château-d’Oléron to Saint-Trojan-les-Bains, passing through the salt marshes and Port des Salines, which are very lively during the summer season. You’ll then pass through the large forest of Saint-Trojan-les-Bains, ending up in the pretty historic center. If you wish, you can continue on to the large Gatseau beach, a paradise for young and old alike in summer.
